The COVID pandemic has not only shattered all our lives but also has put some questions on very critical activities. One such activity is the schooling and studies of students who are in their higher secondary. Three such students who are farmers’ children in the area of Annaikatty were not able to continue their studies and was on the verge of discontinuing. When they reached out for support in the form of laptops for the students, UCT was eager to contribute for the cause of Education.
ART academy, Villupuram has students studying in the academy from the neighbouring area of Peruvalur near Thiruvannamalai. These students are from villages and could not afford to buy all the basic needs for their studies. They reached out to UCT for support of stationary items like notebooks and pens for 40 students in the academy. The cause for education is close to UCT and we provided immediate support.
Prema Vasam, home for Special Children and less fortunate normal Children, provides residential care and nurture them to realize their potential. They reached out to UCT for requirements of Adult wheel Chair and Pediatric wheel chair along with provisions and food items for the Children. The trust swiftly provided Health drinks and Jaggery requirements for a month and the wheel chairs.
