Christmas 2022 - Dress for Students

December 2022
Status: Completed

Students from Standard 6 to college were given new dress for Christmas 2022 based on their family condition. Total 153 students were identified by the Adaikalam Foundation, Tuticorin on yearly basis. This year Ultimates Care Trust contributed dress for 153 students on the special function held on 11- Dec-2022. Senior officials from TANGEDCO - Tuticorin Thermal Power Station were present on that function. Christmas songs, Prayers and Food were arranged by the organizing committee.

75th Independence Day & Mother Teresa Birthday

Special Occasions: 75th Independence day & Mother Teresa Birthday (26-Aug) were combined to share lunch as well as dinner to 60 inmates of Aravanaikkum Anbu illam, Coimbatore. Elderly and Kids were provided with lunch and dinner at two locations in Coimbatore. Ultimates team members Mr.Selladurai & Ms. Manimegalai and Mr.Mohan Kumar participated in the event and helped in co-ordinating the project.

PREM NIKETAN - a home situated near Arakkonam, meant for Cancer care patients and Senior citizens requested for 6 cots and mattresses for their inmates. We at Ultimates Care Trust provide " Annadhanam" ( food / provisions ) on special occasions of a particular year. This financial year we started our Annadhanam on Tamil New Year 14th, April 2022. Over 300 inmates of Universal Peace Foundation at Coimbatore were given breakfast.

Just take a moment to catch up the simple pleasure, the children of Premavasam enjoy as they turn the pages of Dictionary. Ultimates Care Trust is truly humbled to contribute 10 numbers of Lifco Dictionary for children at Premavasam that improves their language proficiency. PremaVasam, home for Special Children and less fortunate normal Children, provides residential care and nurture them to realize their potential.

Ambience and comfort of use are very important factors in the betterment of any activity, more so in the case of education. This is what led to our involvement in this project. The Govt. Hr. Sec. school  located in Kaliannan Pudhur, Coimbatore was in dire need of improvement in its infrastructure of desks and benches. The desks and the benches were rusty and in a very bad shape to be used by the students. As the government authorities didn’t respond, the school reached out to us through their teachers, especially Ms. Tamizhpoonkanimozhi. We responded and by engaging a local painter, painted all the 200+ Bench-Desk sets to help the students sit comfortably and concentrate on their studies.

Sri Kanyakumari Gurukalam Ashram located at Kanyakumari, is being run on charitable basis and was in need of a laptop for their educational activities. Around 50 students are currently getting online training on various subjects taken by IIT students. The only laptop in the ashram was 20 years old and not in proper working condition. They approached us for a laptop and after due diligence on our part, a new laptop was procured and presented to the Ashram.  The inmates were very grateful and the students are now able to get their training without any problem.

As we know, the mode of teaching has gone virtual and only online classes are being conducted. However, for following these classes, computers or laptops are necessary as viewing classes in mobile for long hours will be very difficult.  Now arises the question of affordability. In this regard there was a request from  two students from PSG iTech in Coimbatore. These two students lacked the financial background to  buy the laptops and hence placed a request to us. Pradeep Kumar and Mahesh Khanna volunteered by donating the used laptops.
